Directions From Los Angeles:  Take Itake the I-10 east towards Palm Springs. Take the HWY 62 exit going east (left) for 45 miles to the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center in Twenty-Nine Palms. From the visitor center drive 3 miles south on the Utah Trail Rd to the Pinto Wye Junction. Bear right at the junction and drive 8 miles to the Sheep Pass Campground. Just beyond the campground turnoff is the hikers parking lot and the well-signed trailhead for Ryan Mountain.
