Directions

From Banning, CA:

 Take HWY-243 19 miles from Banning and Interstate 10 or 6 miles from Idyllwild and turn east at the sign for the Dark Cyn., Fern Basin and Marion Mtn. campgrounds onto the paved road. In about a 100 yards, turn left on a well-graded dirt road. After 1 mile, turn right on the road at the sign for the Fern Basin and Marion Mountain campgrounds. The trailhead is 1/4 mile past Fern Basin Campground on your right.
